No one wants to spend their afternoon messing with custom adapters, so we stuck with standard R7s or SK15 connectors. They just plug in and work.&#xA;We push the wattage high to get that intense heat density needed to soften the preform quickly. But there&amp;rsquo;s a catch. Pushing that much power through a short tube puts a lot of stress on the ends of the lamp.
