Introduction
We built these replacement heating lamps for one reason: to give your Husky HyPET system the heat it’s been missing. The whole point is simple—get deeper, more controlled heat into the PET preform. That way, the blowing cycle stays steady, with no scorching or cold spots to worry about.
Power, Voltage, and Fit: The Real Specs
On the HyPET line, the preform heating window is tiny. So the heater has to pack a punch—fast. We match the tube to your machine’s exact electrical and physical footprint. The 400V rating keeps power flowing smoothly through the system, which eases the load on each phase compared to lower-voltage options. And that 300mm length? It’s cut to sit perfectly inside the heater block and reflector, putting the heat exactly where the preform needs it. Paired with the right wattage, the lamp hits operating temp almost instantly and holds steady, even during rapid-fire indexing.
Built to Last: The Materials That Matter
We use a quartz envelope because it handles those brutal, quick temperature swings without cracking—and it lets shortwave infrared energy through cleanly. Inside, the halogen element keeps output stable over time. It regenerates the filament environment, which fights blackening and keeps the heat consistent. The R7s connector isn’t just some random choice—it’s the standard for a reason. It gives you solid contact and a repeatable installation every single time. The whole lamp is designed as a true drop-in replacement, so you can swap it out without tweaking the holder or rewiring anything.
What It Means for Your Line: Less Downtime, Better Bottles
On the blowing line, uneven preform temperature is usually the bottleneck. Our HyPET-compatible lamp drives heat deeper into the preform wall, which helps the material stretch evenly during blowing. That cuts down on rejects from weak seams or inconsistent thickness. It’s built to handle the shock of a high-speed system—the rapid on/off cycling, the vibration, the constant duty cycle. Now, there is one practical thing to keep in mind. The high heat density means your machine’s cooling and airflow need to be on point. If the reflector cavity runs too hot, you risk overheating nearby parts. Just keep that airflow path clean, and you’ll get reliable, predictable performance.
