Built for the Mess
Changing rooms and outdoor decks are kind of a nightmare for electronics. You’ve got steam, splashes, and dust everywhere. A normal heater would probably short out in a week. We build these units to an IP55 standard. In plain English? The first “5” keeps the dust out of the guts of the machine. The second “5” means if you hit it with a jet of water from any angle, it won’t care. You can install these in humid spots and actually sleep at night knowing the moisture isn’t eating away at the controller.
The Trick to Getting it Right
Inside the unit is a high-density emitter. It packs a ton of power into a small space, which is how we can take a freezing room and make it cozy in about ten seconds. But here’s the thing:placement is everything. Since infrared travels in a straight line, you can’t just slap it anywhere. Mount it too high, and you won’t feel the heat. Mount it too low, and you’ll probably bake whatever is sitting directly underneath it. It’s all about finding that sweet spot.
A Quick Warning on Power
These heaters aren’t like a desk lamp. They pull a lot of juice. Don’t try to just plug these into a regular wall outlet and hope for the best. You’ll need to check your wire gauges and circuit breakers first. If your electrical panel is old or undersized, you’re just going to trip the breaker the second you flip the switch. Better to get the wiring right now than to be standing in the dark and cold later.
